Purpose of the Virtuosos Program

The Virtuoses Singer Recognition program is intended to recognize CSC members who demonstrate active participation and support of CSC, thereby encouraging more participation and volunteerism.

What are the Criteria to Qualify?

• Pay annual dues
• Pay for music
• Sing in all symphonic choir concerts for the year
• Volunteer at least twice -- once in the fall and once in the spring
• Contribute to the member fund drive or Musicales -OR- Volunteer at least twice in the fall and at least twice in the spring.

What are the Awards for Qualifying?

Awards are made at the final rehearsal of the year (usually late April or May) to those members who have met the criteria for that year:

• Year one - Tote bag and year patch or pin
• Subsequent years - year patch or pin.

Examples of Volunteering

• Work at the WCPE fundraiser
• Sell ads for the concert program
• Work the CSC table at Lazy Daze or Spring Daze
• Serve on a committee for a full year.
  
  

  NOTE: Pitching in before and after a rehearsal and/or a performance does not automatically satisfy the volunteer criteria.

The Fine Print ...

• The Volunteer Chair and Volunteers committee members work with other committee chairs, Treasurer, and other Chorus Committee members to determine who has successfully met the award criteria.
• Board of Directors members, Chorus Committee members and/or Committee Chairs who serve for a full year will automatically satisfy the volunteer requirement.
• Debate regarding award qualificiations/meeting the criteria will be settled by the Volunteers Committee.

Meet the Volunteer Committee Chair

Cherie Spehar is the current Volunteer Committee chair. She and the Volunteers committee are responsible for the administration of the Virtuosos program and will be seeking input from committee chairs and board members for nominations for Viruosos program awards. If necessary, any debate regarding whether a singer has met the program criteria will be decided by the Volunteer Committee Chair. Read about the Volunteer Committee
