News from the Audit Committee Chair: The Audit Committee met on October 24th to begin the audit. They met with auditor Keith Joyce and discussed documents that are needed for the first phase of the audit. Another meeting is tentatively planned for December.

What Does the Audit Committee Do?

The CSC Audit Committee manages Concert Singers of Cary's annual audit process. The committee's most important tasks include:

Selecting an auditor (May to June)
Preparing and collecting documents and data for the auditor (September to October)
Reviewing the audit and compiled financial statements (as needed)
Presenting the audit to the Board of Directors (January)

Meetings of the Finance Committee

The plan is for meetings in September, December, January and June of each year. Additional meetings are possible at the discretion of the committee.
