| Founders of Concert Singers of Cary |
Concert Singers of Cary was established as an initiative of the Cary Cultural Arts Commission. A citizens advisory survey determined that there was interest in a community chorus sponsored in part by the Town of Cary. Four members of the Cultural Arts Commission were particularly instrumental in creating the chorus and served as the provisional Board of Directors through incorporation in 1991.

Fuller S. Blunt later served as first President of CSC (1991-92). He has additionally been a member of the Cary Cultural Arts Committee, Board member and President of Friends of Page-Walker and Theater in the Park. |
Barbara Brown later served as Board member and Social Committee Chair (1991-92). She sang with Concert Singers through 1994 and moved to the Outer Banks. Barbara had been extremely active in arts organizations in the area, including the Page-Walker Hotel. |

Mable Howell later served as Vice President and Programming/Planning Committee Chair (1991-92). She remains active with CSC as a member of the Advisory Board and has assisted in planning for the Musicales gala fundraisers. She is also very active in other arts and civic organizations, including Cary Visual Art, Inc. |
Sarah Sheffield later served as the Town of Cary's first Cultural Arts Coordinator (1993-98.) |
