Report of the Executive Director
Submitted for the November 20, 2007 meeting of the Board of Directors and November 6, 2007 meeting of the Chorus Committee.
FINANCES / FUNDRAISING: I don't have all the data in yet, but so far we are doing well relative to budget. The audit is complete and after sign off by Keith Joyce (firm principal) we will be final. We also obtained an extension on our Charitable Solicitation Liscense through January, and I am filing Lazy Days report for FY07 and application for FY 08. Our pledge mailing is coming together and I expect to send this out before the end of the month.
MARKETING / PUBLISHING: The Voices of Light poster and flyer have been designed, the fall concert program is done and about to send to the printer, and I am making advertising buys for the Christmas concert. We have scheduled Preview appearance on WCPE for Voices of Light. Tickets for the year have been printed.
LOGISTICS: I have made arrangements for risers on December 8th and pick-up space for the November 12 Monday rehearsal (at Glenaire). I've also worked with the general manager at the NC Symphony to discuss a potential Summerfest engagement.
MISCELLANEOUS: We had to cancel the fall picnic due to insufficient interest. Our new carolling group under Greg Tarsa numbers 12 and is already slated for appearances at Heart of the Holdays (12/1), Cary Players (12/14 and 12/15), the Regency HOA party (12/16) and undetermined dates at Glenaire.
