Report of the Executive Director FINANCES: The audit is nearing its conclusion. We have a few more details to work on but otherwise we are very nearly finished with work. With receipt of a grant and some dues we have excellent liquidity again after a dry summer. We are ready for First Night and getting other business underway. SEASON PREPARATIONS: Contracts are all done, arrangements for piano tuning were made, we have worked on procedures for First Night, a number of web site updates were made, name tags and rosters are updated, and in general we are good shape to begin the 17th season. VOLUNTEERS: Recruitment has been well underway for a number of activities. We filled spots for audition greeting and First Night help. Another stuffing party is on the horizon. FESTIVALS: Public response to our display at Lazy Daze was good, despite high heat. We had better than average interest in auditions, our mailing list drawing, and in season concert literature. MARKETING: The joint "Cary in the Art of It All" brochure has been published and is being placed and mailed by seven participating organizations. Respectfully submitted, David R.
